SOURCE – Has the band’s songwriting process stayed consistent over the years or does it vary from album to album?

Shawter (Vocals) – Except for our very first album, each of our record were composed almost the same way. I first think about a global concept, an atmosphere, a title, a scenario, then I start writing the riffs, then the orchestral arrangements, then the lyrics.

Our music is really cinematographic in a way, so I have to think about a general ambiance instead of writing several songs then trying to connect them together.

SOURCE – What has the early response to the Tales of the Black Dawn been like?

Shawter (Vocals) – Really good! We decided to propose our most brutal record ever, and the audience reacts is trully optimistic with this approach. The more often, bands tend to get sweeter and sweeter, but we’re doing the opposite. It’s a choice we assume 100%.

SOURCE – What’s makes this album unique in your discography?

Shawter (Vocals) – There is no instrumental song in it. The oppression and the danger is maximum.

SOURCE – Reviews of the album have been coming out. Do you pay any attention to them?

Shawter (Vocals) – I read them, but they never influenced me.

SOURCE – Are there any of your albums that didn’t get the response they deserved at the time, but in retrospect have really held up well?

Shawter (Vocals) – Our third record, Face the Colossus did. It is compact, massive, full of details, and fans took time to appreciate it. But for now, many people tell me that it’s their favorite of our discography.

SOURCE – As you look back on your career, is there anything you would change?

Shawter (Vocals) – Not really. I enjoy my life as it is. Plus I like to think that we learn from our mistakes tho…

SOURCE – How’s the metal scene in France these days?

Shawter (Vocals) – Bigger than 10 years ago, but not big enought yet.

SOURCE – How was the video shoot for Born Twice?

Shawter (Vocals) – Incredible! The producer Igor is amazing. All is post produced here. We shooted this with a green screen only.

SOURCE – Anything else that you need to plug or promote?

Shawter (Vocals) – Brazil I love You! One of my favorite summer song to party at the beach stay Burguesina – Seu Jorge. Thanks!
