DEMON HUNTER
// Falber Teles
SOURCEWEBZINE - Hey guys, thanks for your time, how's it going?
Ryan Clark (V) - Great. Thanks.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You're just about to issue your new album, care to plug it a bit?
Ryan Clark (V) - Sure. I'll just say that it is, by far and away the best material we've ever written or recorded- that's my personal opinion, but it seems to be the same, from the feedback we've received.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What did you want to achieve with it?
Ryan Clark (V) - I want the songs to really mean something to the people that listen to it. I want to connect with people through it.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You guys get great press, great reviews…deservedly so. How does it feel to get your art fully appreciated by the fans and the media. A lot of other bands may write really great albums but do not always get recognized..
Ryan Clark (V) - We've been really fortunate to get such a great response - we've definitely been in lesser recognized bands in the past, so we know what it's like to be overlooked and we try not to take it for granted for a second. We try to give back however we can- in order to show our appreciation.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You worked with Aaron Sprinkle on the new album, what was that like?
Ryan Clark (V) - Amazing like always. When we're in the studio, he's the 6th member of the band.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What do you learn from working with Aaron Sprinkle? What's the best advise he has given you?
Ryan Clark (V) - He has great input in regard to song structure, melody, harmony and feeling.. Very important elements.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You must have some funny stories from the recording time with Aaron Sprinkle?
Ryan Clark (V) - We have a lot of fun, that's for sure. We're great friends, so that makes the whole experience a lot of fun.
SOURCEWEBZINE - Okay, can you tell us what inspired some of the songs and the lyrics on the album?
Ryan Clark (V) - Life around me... I wrote about everything from my future funeral, cutting, loneliness and spiritual boldness.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You signed a deal with Solid State Records, what did you want from a record deal?
Ryan Clark (V) - Freedom - to do what we want when we want.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What are your plans to promote the record?
Ryan Clark (V) - We're setting up a US tour as we speak... We're also shooting videos for several songs, doing interviews, etc.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What do you think about the Brazilian metal scene? Do you know much about our bands?
Ryan Clark (V) - Other than Sepultura, one of our all-time favorites, I'm not super familiar. Although, I think I can trust a country that birthed a band like that.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What´s currently hot on your music plate? What kind of stuff do you normally listen to?
Ryan Clark (V) - Everything. The Cooper Temple Clause, Against Me!, Machine Head, Blackfield, Soilwork, Disarmonia Mundi, Devildriver, Becoming The Archetype, Thrice, HIM etc.
SOURCEWEBZINE - Do you all have day-time jobs besides DEMON HUNTER ?
Ryan Clark (V) - Yes, I work as art director for Tooth & Nail Records.
SOURCEWEBZINE - Thanks for your time and good luck with the album. Anything else to say?
Ryan Clark (V) - Nope. Thanks!
