SOURCEWEBZINE - Hi. How is it going for you and MURENA at the moment ?
ANTTI HONKA - Fine thanks. Our debut album is out now and it made #37 on the official Finnish album chart.
Now we're focusing forthcoming gigs.

SOURCEWEBZINE - We are an online magazine, totally dedicated to the rock, metal and hardcore scene based in Brazil - South America. What else do you know about our beautiful country, besides the fact that we have beautiful
Forest ?
ANTTI HONKA - Well... I know one thing for sure... SEPULTURA :) What else... Samba ;) and you guys are good in European football.:)

SOURCEWEBZINE - Tell us a little bit about the recording process of the album. Did it differ somehow from your previous recording processes?
ANTTI HONKA - Oh yeah, a lot. It was our first time with a full album, so working at the "real" studio was new for us too.

There was a few things, which suprising us totally, but even so we get what we want to get.

We learn a lot too. So in the future its quite easy to starting our 2nd album, because we know a lot more stuff now.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Where does the inspiration for your lyrics come from?
ANTTI HONKA - Well all kind of sad, sick and impossible things i guess. And we have very long and dark winter here in
Finland, so we have lot of time to sit and write lyrics.:)

SOURCEWEBZINE - Your latest album "Metonin jakso" was released on August 22th in Finland. What kind of feedback have you received from the album so far and have you been pleased with it?
ANTTI HONKA - We've been getting great feedback and reviews for the album. But every f...... criticiser compare us to SYSTEM OF A DOWN and finnish metalband STAM1NA :) It's because we play progressive and melodic hardcore metal, so it's easy to compare with them. But we can live with that, it's ok. We know doing our own thing, that's important to us.

SOURCEWEBZINE - So I must ask your opinion to internet piracy...
ANTTI HONKA - Yeah, it's shitty little virus among us, but it's impossible to make it a disappear. What can you say, we must live with that.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Do you take a personal interest in your MySpace page | www.murenaorkesteri.com and what do you think of this new invention?
ANTTI HONKA - It is great. It's a good channel to bring your music out all over the world. Yeah, we follow those sites actively every day.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Is it possible to get by as a musician in Finland ? Do you all have day-time jobs besides...
ANTTI HONKA - Yes it's possible... some day... I hope. But here in Finland it's so hard to make a money only playing music. But we don't make a music for money, we play because we love playing. Yes we all have a day-time jobs besides.

SOURCEWEBZINE - In the end I would like to know a little bit about your music taste. What kind of music are you guys currently listening to?
ANTTI HONKA - We're listening to all kind of music, from funky jazz to hardcore metal. But metal bands i have to bring

few names like: Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Meshuggah etc.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question. Any final rants for our readers?
