SOURCEWEBZINE - "Inside The Machine" has been in stores for a little while now. Have you been surprised by the reaction to the record in any way, particularly from the press?
FREDERIK ANDERSSON (DRUMS) - We felt really sure about the material we wrote for the album, all the songs turned out the way we wanted them too and we worked really hard to get them that way. We were not really surprised, but we hoped that press and fans would like it just as much as we do.

SOURCEWEBZINE - How has the band progressed musically on "Inside The Machine" ?
FA - Well we had almost 10 years to progress since we played together last time so I guess in a significant way, on every level.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Could you perhaps explain the meaning behind the title of the album?
FA - "Inside the machine" describes the feeling I think many people feels of being "trapped" in this world with it's sick ideals and a future that leads to nowhere.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Fan reaction, as is often the case, seems to have been mixed if the Internet reaction is any indication. Have you gone online much, if at all, to read some of the responses that fans have had to the new album?
FA - Of course, we were very curious to see what others would think of the album so yes we've checked everywhere we could find some input.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Was the decision to sign with Metal Blade Records a natural choice given you an association with them through AMON AMARTH ?
FA - Yes pretty much.

SOURCEWEBZINE - What are your favorite cities/venues to play live?
FA - We haven't really come out on tour yet, fact is, we haven't played live at all with these songs.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Are you able to do music for a living, or do you still have day jobs?
FA - I live solely on the music I play, Linus work on and off with different projects as a sound engineer plus he has his own studio where he works. Mårten and Jesper has regular day jobs and Leo is unemplyed.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Do you have any other passions or hobbies besides music?
FA - If time allows I like to work out at the gym. Apart from that, drinking beer and wine, movies and books.

SOURCEWEBZINE - What CDs are currently in your CD player/iPod?
FA - Itunes on shuffle, at the moment the new THE HAUNTED.

SOURCEWEBZINE - What do you think divides THIS ENDING from other bands in the similar genre?
FA - I think the main difference is that we have a clear image of where we want to go and what we want to sound like. We have a concept about the music. And I think our way of writing music is quite unique.
