SOURCEWEBZINE - Hello Mille. How is it going for you and Kreator at the moment?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Very good, thanx. Busy, but cool!
SOURCEWEBZINE - What can fans expect with “At The Pulse Of Kapitulation: Live In East Berlin” DVD?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - It’s a history lesson, for those who were too young to experience the begining of the movement.
SOURCEWEBZINE - How far is the process of making your new album? What kind of material can we expect to hear on it and has the band’s songwriting process changed much over the years?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - We are working on our eight song. You can expect the fastest, most brutal Kreator album yet, and I’m not just saying this, because it’s the new album. The songwriting goes slow but steady!
SOURCEWEBZINE - The thing that’s interesting to me is the evolution of Kreator in their 20+ years together. Can you talk about the Kreator sound back in the early 80s versus what they’ve become now?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Two diferent bands with the same heart and soul! Natural evolution, back then- raw and brutal, now raw and even beyond brutal.
SOURCEWEBZINE - Music has changed so much over the years especially metal, do you think it has gone into better or worse direction?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - I think it hasn’t really changed that much. There is great bands and bands that suck. Now and then!
SOURCEWEBZINE - Would it be fair to say that “Enemy Of God” is your most politically conscious work to date?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Probably yes. A reaction to the worldwide terror war!
SOURCEWEBZINE - The music industry has changed a lot during the last couple of years and the record sales have started to drop rapidly. How do you see the future of CD’s and record labels?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - I believe, that metal fan will always want the original and don’t settle with crappy mp3 files. I don’t know what the future of the cd will be like, that’s a question for the industry.
SOURCEWEBZINE - I read that Nine Inch Nails released a CD through internet which gave them over 1,5 million dollars in record sales. What’s your opinion about releasing CD’s this way?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Wacky Idea, especially since NIN just released weird instrumentals and sold it for 150 US Dollars each through the net. I think that’s definately NOT the future of music here.
SOURCEWEBZINE - When you’re in Brazil do you think you’ll have much time to sign stuff for fans and/or will there be any in-store signings?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Mostly yes! Our fans in Brazil are fucking maniacs, we’ve even had someone tattoo our autographes right in the store last time we were there.
SOURCEWEBZINE - You have toured many times in the US and Europe. How does the crowd there differ from the Brazilian crowd or does it differ at all?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - The Brazilian crowd is crazier!
SOURCEWEBZINE - What are your future plans when it comes to touring? Any Brazilian/South America tours booked so far for 2009?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - We will do an extensive Brazillian tour in 2009! So be prepared.
SOURCEWEBZINE - What’s your view on the current state of the metal scene in Brazil?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Violator fucking rules at the moment!
SOURCEWEBZINE - In the end I would like to know a little bit about your music taste. What kind of stuff do you guys normally listen to in the tour bus?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - Everything at home, in the tour bus mostly chill out stuff like Muse, Social D, Dead Can Dance etc.
SOURCEWEBZINE - Thank you really much for the interview. See you soon in Brazil. Anything you wanna say to your Brazilian fans as a closure?
Mille Petrozza (V/G) - YOU ARE THE KINGS OF TERROR!
