Dream EvilSOURCEWEBZINE - Could you tell us something about you self, do you have a family and what do you do for a living?
Nick Night (V) - I am 42 years old I’ve got two kids with my ex-wife, 14 year old daughter and 12 year old son and I got one baby coming in the end of August with my new wife.

I work as a sales man in a company called Tyco Thermal Controls, I’m selling floor heating products.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Is it true that you are working on the new album right now? What updates can you give us about it?
Nick Night (V) - Yes! We are all working on making new songs in our home studios for a new studio album that for the moment goes under the name “In the night”. I think that we will enter the studio in November and that the album is going to be released in April next year.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Dream Evil has been around for almost 10 years now. Do you find it gets any harder to write original music after so many years?
Nick Night (V) - No! I feel that it’s easier now because the more songs you write the more skills you get and we got a new guitar player that brings some new ideas and influences.

SOURCEWEBZINE - What are your rehearsals generally like? Do you have a set time each week in which you practice or are rehearsals more spontaneous?
Nick Night (V) - We choose which songs we will have on our set list and only rehears like two times on those songs before we have a show.

SOURCEWEBZINE - The internet is a very important source for many metal fans - how do you use the internet and how important is it for you and other bands?

Nick Night (V) - I think that the internet is one of the most important medias for all bands and companies. We have a home page and a Myspace page.

Internet can of course be a problem with all illegal downloads but that is mostly a problem for the record labels. For us it’s an opportunity to spread our music and hopefully some of the people that download us like us and buy our records.

SOURCEWEBZINE - How does your homeland view the style of music you play and what is the metal scene like in general over there?
Nick Night (V) - I think our kind of cheesy 80:th farmer metal attracts a wide range of people both young and old that like bands with singer that sings with Clean voice, but the trend here in Sweden is that more and more people listen to harder more aggressive kind of metal (death and trash metal).

SOURCEWEBZINE - So is life on the road one big party or mostly business?
Nick Night (V) - We all have steady jobs so we don’t need to play to earn money so this is a chance for us to see the world and of course we love to party.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Do have any numbers on how much your albums have sold worldwide ?
Nick Night (V) - About 200.000 copies.

SOURCEWEBZINE - In some past interviews I read that you guys have day jobs, what exactly do you guys do other than playing and composing music? Would you guys like to just make a living of the music you write?
Nick Night (V) - I working as a sales man, Peter is a computer engineer, Pat is a roof builder, Dannie is a professional poker player and Fredrik is a producer and the owner of Studio Fredman. We all play music because we think it’s funny and I think if you need to play to make a living it’s not that funny anymore.

SOURCEWEBZINE - Sweden has always had great metal acts, what is it about Swedish metalbands that make them so enjoyed across the rest of the continent and the world?
Nick Night (V) - I really don’t know but I think that because of the cold weather people are forced to stay indoors with allot of spare time and then They start to play an instrument and later on starts to play in a band, thou Sweden is small country we got allot of bands. Music is one of the biggest exports in Sweden.

SOURCEWEBZINE - And last of all, is there an interview question you’ve always wanted to answer, but that no one has ever asked?
Nick Night (V) - Hmmm…how come that all girls loves Dream Evil? Because Scandinavian cocks rocks ! Take care and stay evil.
