SOURCEWEBZINE – How has the response been on “Marching On Timeless Tales” and how much of the record is done?
Peter Grundström (V) – The response has been awesome and we are really happy about it so it is with great joy and pleasure we read the reviews on “Marching on Timeless Tales”. We also have a great response from our fans when we’re playing livegigs. Nice!
SOURCEWEBZINE – How is “Marching On Timeless Tales” studio-wise different from “Shades Of Eternity”?
Peter Grundström (V) – We have done some slightly technically changes in the production area so we feel very satisfied with that.
SOURCEWEBZINE – What do you think of how recording technology has changed and how people use that technology to record music?
Peter Grundström (V) – It’s always important to be honest with yourself and your music. When we play livegigs we want to sound exactly as the album so we must be true even live with our performance.
SOURCEWEBZINE -This is your first album to be released by Massacre Records. How did this deal come about and is it just for distribution of the new record or a long term arrangement?
Peter Grundström (V) – When the “Marching On Timeless Tales” album was done we contacted Massacre Records if they were interested for a release. About a week later they contacted us and wanted a record deal so here we are!
SOURCEWEBZINE – Do you normally read and care about what the critics writes about you in the papers and on the internet?
Peter Grundström (V) – Yes, we read what they think about our work and sometimes it’s great and sometimes less great, but we can’t say that it affects us musically. We want to stay true to ourselves and our music because we love what we do so nothing really can change that.
SOURCEWEBZINE – Have you filmed any videos for this new CD?
Peter Grundström (V) – Yes, if check us out on YouTube there is a song from “Marching On Timeless Tales” called “Red Canyon”!
SOURCEWEBZINE – Do you still follow the metalscene and check out new bands or are you just doing your own thing?
Peter Grundström (V) – Of course we hear other bands once and awhile , but more or less we are doing our own thing.
SOURCEWEBZINE – If a metal fan comes to visit Lund – Sweden, what should they see and do?
Peter Grundström (V) – Good question! It depends on what you are interested of doing! If you like to take a drink or two it’s no problem and if you like buildings we have this great church called” Domkyrkan”. Really worth a visit!
SOURCEWEBZINE – Can you give us an idea of the working habits of the band members? What must be present in order for a song to be brought to life and how much say do the members have individually as to what goes on an album and what is left off?
Peter Grundström (V) – Everyone in the band have ideas of how to create our songs , but it is normally after when Jan and Peter have brought the first song ideas. Then we put the song together piece by piece.
SOURCEWEBZINE – How did you get your first break into the music business? What piece of advice would you pass onto budding musicians?
Peter Grundström (V) – Ha, ha it was so long time ago that we hardly remember, but it must have been somewhere around the mid eighties. The best advice in this business is to have patience and stay strong.
SOURCEWEBZINE – Is there any question that you get asked over and over again that is annoying to have to answer in interviews?
Peter Grundström (V) – Of course at sometimes the same questions comes up , but we love to answer them all so it’s no problem for us. It would be worse if no questions was asked to us.
SOURCEWEBZINE – Anything else you’d like to mention or promote?
Peter Grundström (V) – We would like to thank you for a great interview and thanx to all our fans… We love ya! Check us out at Facebook and our webpage Stonelake ! Don’t forget buying our new album! It’s a KILLER!
