Terror

Terror

SOURCE – How come it took four years between Live By The Code and The 25th Hour?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Well my friend it’s only been a little over two years. Live By The Code came out in April 2013. This thing is right on time.

SOURCE – The new album is called The 25th Hour – can you explain the meaning behind the title?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Yes sure. Humanity is running out of time. We as people take and take and push and push and live thru our greeds and wants and in the end , at the twenty fifth hour it will all crash down on you.

SOURCE – There’s always a distinctive Terror sound, but there are always slight variations in style from album to album. What’s different about this one?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – This one is stripped down. So filler or frills. Just pure pissed off hardcore. Shorter songs that don’t let’s up. Hard hitting and more dark lyrics about the ugly side of life.

SOURCE – As you get older and more experienced, it difficult to be as angry and passionate as you were in your younger days?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – No. I am still pissed off. I’m still wound up. I still hate. It comes natural.

SOURCE – There are numerous bands out there who have been influenced by Terror, some to the extent that they’ve blatantly ripped you off. How do you feel about that?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Hmmmmm I don’t really see to many bands that rip us off musically. And influences are natural. We are an older band nowadays and it’s cool that people came up on us and started bands of there own. That showing us love. Just don’t cross the line and bite.

SOURCE – Is there ever a desire to reinvent yourself, or is it more about giving the fans what they expect from Terror?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – No. We will always be the terror we have been from day one. We grow and change and try new things and go thru cycles but it will always be terror. Always be hardcore.

SOURCE – You have a long experience. Have you see any changes in the audience; how is metal/hardcore and your band doing at the moment?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Trends come and go. People come and go. But our fan base is always in tact. It’s cooler to play to new kids and different types off kids. We are all for that. I like the more things change also the more they stay the same

SOURCE – Collectively, with all the material you have out, is there anything that sticks out when doing it live?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – I love playing the song YOURE CAUGHT It’s such a different outside the box song for terror and I always love playing that one. It changes up the set and is refreshing among all the tougher songs

SOURCE – Will you be coming to the South America and Brazil to support the album?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Yes in November 2015. See you soon my friend!

SOURCE – Anything more you’d like to achieve as a band?

Scott Vogel (Vocals) – Trying to stay young and be happy in life. Terror is a real thing I believe in and it keeps me in check and on track.
