Centinex – With Guts and Glory

Brief:
Swedish death metal veterans Centinex return with full force on their blistering new album With Guts and Glory. Marking a bold new direction, the record fuses death metal’s raw aggression with the speed of thrash, the spirit of punk, and the heavy grooves of classic metal and rock.
After decades of crushing riffs and cult acclaim, Centinex remain defiant, choosing their own path. With Guts and Glory is not just a title, it is a statement of intent, born from determination and conviction.
“This record is about pleasing ourselves first and foremost,” the band explains. “We did not chase trends or expectations, we wrote the music we love: heavy, intense, and unapologetic. Fans may long for the past, and we respect that, but we have never wanted to repeat ourselves. Exploring new directions is what Centinex has always been about.”
Rooted in their brutal legacy yet alive with fresh energy, With Guts and Glory is a sonic assault that proves Centinex are far from finished, stronger, sharper, and more dangerous than ever.

Comments:
Overflowing with stifling energy, “With Guts and Glory” is a well-executed brutal death metal record, but it’s a little too predictable. This leaves a mixed impression: the work is technically solid but too uneven to make it a must-have for Centinex.
