SOURCE – First, I want to say congratulations on the upcoming album release and signing with Napalm records. How did that come to be, and what’s it like being part of the Napalm roster?

Shawter (Vocals) – Well thank you ! We’re working with Napalm Events for years now, and it came pretty naturally to sign up this deal with Napalm Records. We’re really happy to be part of their roster, as they have a solid determination to make the band bigger outside France.

SOURCE – Covid-19 has impacted so many bands in such a negative way, but it sounds like you guys tried to make the best of a bad situation by recording this record.

Shawter (Vocals) – True. Acting differently tend to make me sad. We didn’t know when we could have been back on tour, so it was simply to produce a new album. And because of the duration of the lockdown, we had plenty of time to take care of each detail of this production.

SOURCE – The album is being described as being something quite different and marking a new era for the band. Would you agree with that assessment that this is the beginning of something new for the band?

Shawter (Vocals) – Well I hope this album will bring us to another level, mostly outside France. For now the reactions are really good, so we fingers are crossed!

SOURCE – What would you say makes this album different from your previous efforts, and what do you think remained a constant in the band’s work overtime?

Shawter (Vocals) – We always try to offer a new concept, a new face of the band from album to album. So each of our album tend to be different from the previous ones. I would say that “By Night” give more room to are electro influences.

SOURCE – Speaking of the song The Hunt, you’ve had a massively positive response to that video; what has that felt like for you guys?

Shawter (Vocals) – It was really cool ! It was our first release 4 years after Black Nova, we wanted to get back on track, and produced an ambitious video for this single.

SOURCE – Your home state of France seems to be a really great place for metal, post-rock, and other genres combining heavy textures and ambient soundscapes. Are there any other local bands or artists that you’re particularly close to that doesn’t get as much recommendation there?

Shawter (Vocals) – I would pick Deluge, Celeste and Acod.

SOURCE – When you do go back on the road, what can we expect the setlist to look like? Are you looking more at working in the new material, or will you also play some fan favorites as well?

Shawter (Vocals) – We will focus on By Night, but we’ll include at least 2 songs from each of our 7 previous albums !

SOURCE – We’re looking forward to seeing you guys over here. Thanks again for taking the time to speak with me, is there anything else you’d like to say to the fans?

Shawter (Vocals) – Thank you for yout support, enjoy By Night!
