ALBUM REVIEW
Aura of Decay marks a return for Extol, combining the aggression of death metal with the complexity of progressive metal. With elaborate riffs, flawless instrumental work and sombre atmospheres, the album recaptures the band’s classic essence without sounding nostalgic. Despite a few less memorable songs, it is a consistent, intense and technically exceptional record. Aura of Decay offers fans new horizons, with promising prospects.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS
“We are living in an era where truth feels relative, yet tribal dogmas seem to be strengthening. We wanted the song to mirror that confusion. It is an invitation to look beneath the surface noise of the internet and reflect on how sanctimonious religious and political practices are fed and kept alive by ideology.”
Christer Espevoll – Guitars
