Wolves at the Gate

SOURCE – Congratulations on your fantastic album, Lost In Translation. Can you tell us a little about it please? What will be your strongest memory of the recording of the album?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – Hey y’all! This is Nick Detty (Front Man) and thank you so much! Lost in Translation is a compilation of songs we all have been inspired by in our careers as musicians and as fans of the groups that made them. So we wanted to put a WATG spin on them! This record was so much fun to make! My best memory making this record is flying out to Steve’s house (our guitarist/singer) and recording all the vocals for the record. I’ve never worked with anyone as well as I work with Steve on music. We always have a blast!

SOURCE – Why does the original Lost In Translation EP version have ten songs and the Spotify version only five?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – The way Spotify puts singles together is a little funny sometimes. We released five singles from the record before release and compiled the singles into an “EP” of sorts. We also have the full record on Spotify too!

SOURCE – How much input did the band have in putting together the Lost In Translation setlist?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – The whole band had input! When we started compiling a list of songs, we just started a huge playlist that we shared with each other on Spotify and just added any song we thought we’d love to cover. It took some tough decision making, but we eventually came up with what you see now!

SOURCE – May a new generation of fans will discover the band with this album. What do you want to say to them?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – I would love to say hello and welcome! Thank you so much for checking out our cover album and we hope we enjoy our variety of other songs. Be sure to give us a follow on our socials to stay up to date on shows and new music!

SOURCE – What was the response to last year’s Eulogies?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – The response to Eulogies was overwhelmingly positive and we are insanely grateful. It’s been a humbling experience witnessing the love and support it’s been getting being added to many different playlists and having reached so many different audiences. We can’t wait to put out more!

SOURCE – Give us an update on the status of the recording of the new album. Is there anything else that you’re currently working on?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – We are honestly fans of both. We love incorporating mystery and hype to our music and help people get just as excited as we are for new music. We love when people get to have that same feeling we do when we write it. On the other hand, we also really love being able to connect to people directly. It expresses genuine responses from our music and it’s been so awesome getting to hear everyone’s thoughts or reactions!

SOURCE – The way that albums are promoted has changed dramatically since you’ve started in music. These days, it’s all driven by social media. Do you like having that direct pipeline and transparency to fans or do you prefer the old days of things had a bit more mystery to it before an album came out?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – Let’s just say 2024 is gonna be WILD. Stay tuned!

SOURCE – Anything else you’d like to mention/promote?

Nick Detty (Vocals) – Not much else really. We’re on all major social platforms and streaming services. Be sure to give our other music a listen or send us a message! Thank you guys so much! We will see soon.
