Panos Priftis (Bass) – From a musical perspective, “T” is both the evolution and the natural continuation of the direction we explored in “Artifacts” and later developed further on “Magna Mater”. This progress came about organically during the songwriting process for “T”. As for the album’s thematic concept, “T” is a record with a strong anti-war message at its core.
SOURCE – “As One” and “Death” are the only tracks that do not have “The” in their titles. What is the reasoning behind the new album being titled “T”?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – That’s a very good observation. The titles were certainly not chosen at random, and those two tracks serve as intros and outros. This isn’t meant in a musical sense, as both pieces are complete and fully developed compositions. Rather, it relates to the conceptual narrative of the album.
SOURCE – To date, “Artifacts” and “Magna Mater” are the band’s most popular albums. Looking back several years after their release, how would you assess those records?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – “Artifacts” and “Magna Mater” are very important albums for us, as they were indeed the records that introduced the band to a wider audience. Musically, each album has its own distinct identity, and we’re proud of both because they faithfully capture our thoughts and the creative direction we were pursuing at the time they were written.
SOURCE – The video for “The Wound” was released only a few days ago. What was the most challenging aspect of the production process for this video?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – What applies to “The Wound” is really true for all of our music videos. Our main goal for each video is always to reflect the overall atmosphere of the album, while remaining true to both the musical and conceptual identity of the song it accompanies.
SOURCE – Streaming has completely redefined how music is discovered and consumed. How has your mindset evolved over the years when it comes to releasing new material in a landscape where algorithms and playlists often dictate what reaches listeners?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – Streaming has undeniably changed the way people discover and consume music. That said, we’ve never approached music as a product, but rather as a work of art. Because of that, the most important thing is for what we create to express who we are and resonate with us first. We’re not concerned with making our music “algorithm-friendly”; we’re concerned with making it honest. We believe that this sincerity in your artistic work is something listeners will recognise and appreciate whenever they discover our music.
SOURCE – What is your opinion on meet-and-greet sessions?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – It’s always a great experience to connect with the people who listen to your music, to talk with them, and to hear their thoughts about your work, as well as the different ways they interpret the concepts behind your albums. We’re very positive about meet-and-greet sessions, and whenever the opportunity arises, we’re happy to take part in them.
SOURCE – Aside from King Garcia, are any of the members of Mother Of Millions involved in other musical projects?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – Over the years, members of the band have been involved in various musical projects. There’s absolutely no issue with that within the band. In fact, it’s often interesting to see how each member expresses themselves musically outside the context of Mother Of Millions. I’d even say we’re very supportive whenever those opportunities arise.
SOURCE – I noticed that you have a busy live schedule from August 2026 onwards. How do you feel about the prospect of coming to Brazil in 2027?
Panos Priftis (Bass) – The period following the release of a new album is always packed with live performances. We strongly believe that live shows remain the most important way for a band to present its music to audiences and continue growing its fanbase. We’d be happy to perform anywhere in the world, so if the opportunity can be made possible from an organisational standpoint, we’d absolutely love to play in Brazil.
