SOURCE – Firstly, congratulations on 20/20, it’s and incredible album! Tell us a little bit about the album and how the production and recording went for this?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – Thank you! The band’s journey started in 2015 when I formed the band and asked the guys to join it. We wanted to be able to tour right away so we started doing cover gigs with the same line-up just to make sure we get along together in all kind of circumstances. After a year of doing cover gigs, we started writing songs for the album. In 2018 we were ready to record. We recorded the album in a few stages depending on everyones schedules and finally the album was ready in early 2020.

SOURCE – What kind of reception has the album had so far and was it received in the way you thought it would be?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – 20/20 has been received very well. We are amazed and honored for getting such a great feedback. We couldn’t be more happy with it. We had no expectations, we just made music that we like and hoped others will like it too.

SOURCE – What are your ambitions for the album 20/20?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – We hope with 20/20 to establish enough fanbase to be able to tour and to have people waiting for the next album. We hope the album will leave people feeling empowered and fueled with hope.

SOURCE – What was it like recording the video for Run?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – Run was a fun one to do. I played (Netta) drums while Rolf was standing on the other side of the drum set making sure I play everything correctly. On top of top I got to run around Helsinki’s streets at night and jump around on a big trampoline. It was just so versatile all in all.

SOURCE – Now there is a lot of uncertainty about the Coronavirus issue, how do you think this COVID-19 affects the music industry and specially the world of music?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – It’s going to hit hard. I think there will be a lot less gigs for a while after this because th venues may go down and the salaries will drop so much that touring becomes too expensive for the artist.

Music itself continues to thrive as people will always write new music. But already I’ve heard many musicians thinking about stopping and changing profession once and for all.

SOURCE – How has your band adjusted to the monetization of streaming versus the traditional way of selling albums?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – Music industry changed for good when streaming came along. Bands don’t get much of their music anymore. It’s a struggle.

SOURCE – In Brazil there’s much fans listening your kind of music. What do you know about the Brazil?

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – Angra (metal band), Jair Bolsonaro, the amazon & samba. I’ve never visited Brasil but hope to get there one day.

SOURCE – What do you have planned for the rest of the year? I know it’s a bit of a big question right now.

Netta Laurenne (Vocals) – We are currently writing our second album so that will keep us busy this year.
